This year, the SE MA STEM Network hosted its annual virtual event, Educating for the Future, on September 16, 2024. The purpose of this event was to provide information on effective education practices, model business/education partnerships, early college programs and affordable high-quality college and career pathways, community initiatives, and fostering a STEM identify beginning in early childhood. This year’s theme was Strengthening the STEM Pipeline, and our panels were focused on Beginning Early, In and Out of School Time Initiatives, and Model MA STEM Week Programs for 2024. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to our panel facilitators: Debra Garvin, Robbins Children’s Program, Paula Martel, North Easton Machine, and Michael Tamasi, AccuRounds, and to our panelists: Krissy Cannizzo, Children’s Museum of Easton; Lynne Papetti, National Grid; Christine Santoro, Children’s Museum of Easton; David Edwards, MassHire Brockton Area; Liz Klein, Region V Science & Engineering Fair; Kevin McCaskill, Brockton High School; Margaret Brumsted, Wade Institute for Science Education; Pat Monteith, Brockton Public Library; and, Dr. Katie Ruggieri,  Massasoit Community College.
