Emery Rice Hall, Massachusetts Maritime Academy was the setting for CONNECT’s annual retreat. Let’s Make a Splash was the theme for this year’s event, which primarly serves as a strategic planning session for CONNECT’s leadership team. In addition, this year, we honored Dr. Laura Douglas, President, Bristol Community College, who has served as CONNECT’s Board Chair for the past three years. We are extremely grateful to President Douglas for her leadership, support, and committment to regional collaboration.  Although CONNECT’s  work is always focused on regional higher education collaboration, this year, we decided to engage in a little friendly competition during our team building activity and constructed boats from recycled matierals. As evidence by the photos, the competition for bragging rights was fierce!

We are extremly grateful to Admiral McDonald and his team for hosting this event. We’d also like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Michael Goodman, UMass Dartmouth, for sharing his expertise and critical labor market data with us. Dr. Goodman’s presentation helped the CONNECT leadership team identify priorities for the upcoming year.  In addition, we would like to offer our most sincere congratulations to Fred W. Clark, Esq., President, Bridgewater State University for his appointment as CONNECT’s Board Chair, FY24-FY26.

Thank you to everyone who attended for your active participation throughout the day and for your ongoing committement to CONNECT.
